Audience Feedback

In addition to this, we asked what they thought could be improved in our teaser trailer. Their feedback was clear and we agreed with the majority of their criticisms. Their improvements were:
  • Sound - the audience felt that it was obvious where we edited in the speech of the characters that we wanted played over the music. Furthermore, the dialogue we did use in the teaser trailer had background noise that was heard by our audience, which they felt could have been removed to make the teaser trailer more professional.
  • Words - the blue words that appear around the middle of the teaser trailer (school, home, friends, secrets) didn't feel relevant in the eyes of our audience, as they weren't linked to the other pieces of text in the teaser trailer.

VERSES Magazine Front Cover Feedback

This our questionnaire for us getting feedback on our magazine front cover promoting our film, 'VERSES'. We decided to use this form of feedback as we feel we would get honest opinions from our audience as it is anonymous. We handed out these questionnaires to a wide variety of people, predominantly our target audience, so we had a reliable amount of feedback. From our questionnaire, we were able to see what our audience thought of our magazine front cover, what they thought we could improve and if they buy the magazine.

Magazine Front Cover (VERSES)

This is our magazine front cover advertising our film VERSES. We are very happy with this as we believe it accomplishes the conventions of a magazine. Although there are other information on the magazine, the focus is on our protagonist and what's inside the magazine that relates to the film VERSES. We feel the magazine is pleasing to the eye with enough text but not overwhelming. The colour scheme highlights that the film is British, and the background doesn't distract from the image of our actor who portrays our protagonist, Declan.

VERSES Poster Feedback

Our poster feedback was overall positive as the reviewers seemed to be drawn to the protagonist on the front cover. Their answers were predominantly what we were hoping as they believed the genre was social realist and coming of age. The tag line drew them in as they said it makes them want to watch the film. Overall, our feedback was optimistic, so we know the poster would be successful in the real world of the media.
